Temporary Appointment - Child Protection Specialist, L-4, Innocenti Research Center, Florence, Italy

UNICEF seeks a Child Protection Specialist, P-4 (temporary appointment) to be based in its Innocenti Research Centre, Florence, Italy.
The purpose of this temporary assignment is to provide technical inputs and coordination of research in the area of child protection, including sexual exploitation and violence against children, and the overall implementation of international standards on children. The outputs are intended for use by staff of UNICEF and related agencies at headquarters, regional and country levels in order to strengthen further the work being undertaken in and related to the area of child protection.
Your profile:
• Advanced degree in social sciences, law or other relevant area.
• Eight years of experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and research methodology. Professional knowledge of and a strong relevant publications record on child rights and child protection.
• Specific experience: Up-to-date familiarity with research and policy analysis on human rights issues, violence against children, sexual exploitation and implementation of international standards
• Strong information organization and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Proven skills in writing for publication of substantive length in English, including in the field of child protection.
