Highlights

Every year, WHO and UNICEF release updated data on the number of children that have received their routine vaccines around the world. This regional profile provides a snapshot of where South Asia stands on coverage for each routine vaccine, and on the number of zero dose children in 2022.

Key highlights:

  • An estimated 3 million still not fully vaccinated.
  • Three-in-four reporting countries achieved at least 90% coverage for DTP3.
  • Measles regional coverage is below the key target.
